Clare’s Biodiversity Officer produces children’s story book

book coverA new children’s book written and illustrated in Clare will be launched this week.

Nature’s Secret Adventures, written by Clare Biodiversity Officer and illustrated by Clare artist Vincent Killowry, will be launched on Saturday November 30th 2013 at 3pm, in the Craft Shop, Spar Village Stores, Ballyvaughan.

The book contains three stories about local Irish Wildlife. ‘The Amazing Tale of Sheridan’ is about a very brave little pygmy shrew. ‘Orla’s Big Day’ is about an otter’s first day at school, and ‘The Fairy’s Foxtrot’ is a legendary tale of two mayflies.

The book is aimed at ages 6+ if reading alone, or younger when reading with parents or teachers, and is also dyslexia friendly

There will be a reading, signing and more at the launch on Saturday.
