16 November 1920: Three IRA men were arrested by the Auxiliaries near Killaloe. Alphonsus (Alphie) Rodgers, Michael (Brud) McMahon and Martin Kildea were beaten, interrogated and then shot dead. Another IRA colleague of the three men, Micheál Egan had already been shot and killed by the Black and Tans.
