Clare musician Martin Hayes will join music legend Paul Simon on stage in Dublin’s National Concert Hall tonight for a concert celebrating the life of the late Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney.

Simon has been a long-term friend and admirer of Seamus Heaney and he took part in a tribute that was held in New York last November.

Simon is one of a cast of 20 who will read and reminisce on the night including President Michael D. Higgins, Martin Hayes, Paul Brady and piper Liam O’Flynn, who collaborated with Heaney over the years.

Martin Hayes, who is from Maghera, has previously performed with Paul Simon. See the below video from July 13, 2013
