A leader in the development of access pathways in Ireland, Mary Immaculate College has been hugely successful in attracting mature or ‘second chance’ learners from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds whose educational experiences and opportunities in their earlier years may have been limited.

The Foundation Certificate Programme is an access initiative co-ordinated by the Learner Support Unit in MIC, designed to cater for mature students who wish to continue their education, with a view to progressing to third level.

This one year part-time evening programme is open to all mature students who might not necessarily have completed the Junior or Leaving Certificate.
