Clare and Doora Barefield hurling stalwart, Jamesie O’Connor has been confirmed as Sky Sports lead hurling analyst for the broadcaster’s coverage of the All Ireland Championship.
O’Connor will be joined by former Tipperary hurler Nicky English. Sky News anchor Rachel Wyse will front coverage with Brian Carney, who currently presents Sky’s rugby league coverage.
Dave McIntyre and Brian Finnerty have been announced as commentators. Peter Canavan will be chief football analyst.
The new faces were revealed at a press conference in Croke Park this morning.
Sky Sports has revealed the four games they will show in June, starting with the meeting of Kilkenny and Offaly in the Leinster SHC on June 7th and followed by the clash of Dublin and Wexford/Qualifier in the Leinster SHC on June 14th. Sky will also televise Sligo against Galway/London in the Connacht SFC on June 21st and the Ulster semi-final between Armagh/Cavan and Down/Tyrone/Monaghan on June 28th.
Sky also have Peter Canavan, Paul Early, Nicky English & Jamesie O'Connor on their GAA team. No Joe Brolly, missed opportunity there.
