County Clare will continue to enjoy dry, warm weather until next Monday or Tuesday but forecasters are warning that unsettled weather is likely by the middle of next week.
Yesterday’s high of 25.9c at Shannon Airport is unlikely to be beaten during the remainder of this fine spell as high pressure slowly drifts away from the country.
However, Met Éireann says County Clare can still expect to experience temperatures in the high teens or low twenties and perhaps higher in any prolonged sunshine over the next few days.
Commenting on the weekend weather prospects, Met Éireann said: “The higher daytime temperatures will be in Munster and Leinster with values in the high teens and the low twenties. It will be sunnier here too although some cloud will develop at time. The nights will be relatively mild too.”
“The dry and settled conditions look like continuing into the early days of next week, but there are some signs that a breakdown may occur in the midweek,” the forecaster added.
