Shannon Airport is the warmest spot in Ireland today with 23c being recorded there within the past hour.

Blue skies across much of the county has seen mercury levels rise, but not to the same levels as experienced last week when 25.9c was recorded in County Clare.

Cloudier weather is expected to push across the north and west of the country during Wednesday while it is also expected to turn cooler.

Rain and drizzle will affect the west Coast tomorrow evening, according to Met Eireann.
