For the first time ever in County Clare, rope access techniques are being used to carry out maintenance work on a building.

A rope access team from ‘Working at Height Academy & Alti-Service’, which is owned by Crusheen-based Adrian McMahon, is currently cleaning the glass exterior of Clare County Council’s Headquarters building in Ennis.

Block D of Áras Contae an Chláir was competed last week while work is continuing on Blocks A, B, C and the Council Chamber.

Working at Height Academy & Alti-Service’s business partner in the USA, Absailon USA recently cleaned the glass under the sky walk in the Grand Canyon at 4500 feet up.
