Arrangements for Sunday’s Clare U21 homecoming

Cork v Clare - Bord Gais Energy Munster GAA Hurling Under 21 Championship FinalA homecoming event for the Clare U21 hurlers and management team will take place in the Abbey Street Carpark in Ennis town centre this Sunday from 6.30pm.

Clare face Wexford in tomorrow’s Bord Gais Energy GAA Hurling All Ireland U21 Championship Final at Semple Stadium in Thurles and will be bidding for their third title in a row.

Mayor of Ennis Councillor Johnny Flynn and Cllr. John Crowe, Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council will officially welcome the squad and management team. Entertainment will be provided ahead of the team’s arrival on stage.

To facilitate the event, parking restrictions will be in place in the Abbey St Car park from 6 pm tomorrow (Saturday) until after the event. Limited disabled parking is being made available from Bank Place entrance on Sunday evening. Access to the event is via Bank Place only.

Clare County Council is coordinating the homecoming event in association with An Garda Síochána, Clare Civil Defence, Clare Fire and Rescue Service and Clare GAA. In the event of a draw, the homecoming will be postponed until after the replayed game.
