A rainfall warning has been issued for County Clare for tonight as a result of a stalling frontal system.

The Yellow Rainfall Warning applies to Cavan, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry.

Rainfall totals of 25 to 35mm are likely, with the highest values expected in mountainous areas.

9.2mm fell in one single hour alone between midnight and 1am in Claremorris, Mayo.
