As part of its programme of promoting, encouraging and supporting physical exercise amongst young people, Ennis-based Ozone Health and Fitness has donated a large array of sports equipment to Clooney National School.
When asked why they chose to donate to Clooney N.S., Ozone General Manager Micheal Hogan said: “Clooney N.S. is very close to the heart of the Ozone Owner / Director, Ken O Malley. All four of his boys have gone through or are attending the school. He has experienced at first hand the fantastic work the Teachers and Headmaster do with the kids, providing a great emphasis on ensuring the children get plenty of exercise. Much of this is after hours and on a voluntary basis. It’s that commitment that we want to help support so we decided to start with Clooney.”
“A lot of parents out there are worried about their teenage children and their inactive lifestyle. They are afraid of their kids being bullied at school from carrying weight and their lack of confidence to mix with other teens. Consistent exercise can help improve their confidence, their activity levels and their appearance and set them up for life’s journey ahead,” explained Mr. Hogan.
