Thunderstorm warning issued, turning cold tonight

cLOUDSIsolated thunderstorms with the ongoing risk of spot flooding will occur in County Clare and other parts of the west of Ireland today.

Forecasters say the storms are most likely to be in areas closest to the Atlantic coastline.

Tonight meanwhile, will see temperatures across Clare dip to between 1c and 4c with some frost and fog forming in light northerly winds.  It’s expected to turn milder but remain unsettled later this week.

Rainfall levels for the first three days of November have accounted for more than one quarter of the average rainfall expected in Clare during November. 24.9mm was recorded at Shannon Airport up to the end of November 3.
