Limerick Sports Partnership (LSP) and Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) will jointly host a ‘Come and Try Disability Sports Day’ on Tuesday 14th April from 10am to 3pm

Supported by the FAI, Munster Rugby and Cerebral Palsy Sport Ireland, amongst others, the event at the LIT campus in Moylish will feature a range of children’s and adult’s activities.

“This is the first ‘Come and Try’ Day organised by LSP and first year students from the LIT’s BA in Business Studies with Sports Management course,” explained Elaine Shea, LSP Sports Inclusion Disability Officer.

“The role of Limerick Sports Partnership is to increase and promote access to sport for all members of the local community.  This event is aimed at increasing the number of kids and adults engaging in physical activity and enjoying the fun and other benefits that sport can deliver,” said Ms. Shea.

Games on the day will include soccer with the FAI, hurling with Treaty Warriors, adapted tag rugby with the Muster Rugby Development Officer, Boccia with Cerebral Palsy Sport Ireland, and Hip Hop with the Limerick Hip Hop Intervention Project.

Children’s activities will be held from 10am to 12.30pm and Adult’s Activities will take place from 1pm to 3pm.
