Shannon Airport has picked up yet another award, this time for its promotion of sustainable and environmentally-friendly operations at the County Clare facility.
Shannon Airport beat off competition from all other Irish airports to claim the Aviation Sustainability & Environment Award at The Aviation Industry Awards 2015 in Dublin on Thursday night.
The trophy was accepted by Niall Maloney of Shannon Group PLC at an awards ceremony in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.

It wasn’t the only Clare success on the night with Shannon-based GECAS winning the 2015 Aviation Innovation Award. Meanwhile, the 2015 Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul Achievement Award went to Eirtech Aviation, which is located at Shannon Airport, while AerCap won the 2015 Aviation Leasing Achievement Award.
The annual awards scheme, which is sponsored by the Irish Aviationa Authority, celebrates excellence in the aviation sector in Ireland.
