Culture Night has been confirmed for Friday September 18th this year, when the nation’s most popular cultural event returns as cities, towns and villages around Ireland will buzz with events and live performances.
In Clare, Arts and Cultural bodies throughout the county will throw open their doors once again.
In Clare over the past nine years, the initiative has captured both the public imagination and the enthusiasm of artists and cultural organizations.
Last year, traditional music was to the fore with a free gala concert of the Riches of Clare in Glor. In all there were over 30 free events throughout the county for 2014 Culture Night, including exhibitions, plays, film, concerts, readings and dance.
Culture Night is organised annually in Clare by the Clare Arts Office. Following their initial call, the Office is interested in hearing from anyone who would like to be involved in this year’s celebration of culture in their locality. The closing date for expressions of interest to the Arts Office is Friday 26 June. Those interested should send a brief outline of what they plan to do to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the Arts Office at 065 68 99091.
