North Clare to host musical Summer School

violinMusic Generation Clare is partnering with Dave Flynn and the Clare Memory Orchestra to deliver a week-long summer school.

The summer school is for 12-17 year old students of violin, fiddle, flute, whistle, oboe, drums, percussion, bodhrán and guitar and it takes place in Ballyvaughan National School, between July 20th and 24th Masterclass with CMO Artist in Association, Martin Hayes on Friday afternoon, July 24th.

It culminates with a performance in St. John the Baptist Church, Ballyvaughan on July 24th, with Martin Hayes and the core group of the CMO.  There will be an additional opportunity for students of string to perform in glór, Ennis, with entire CMO on Saturday, July 25th.

Tutors for the summer school are Dave Flynn, founder and artistic director; Aoife Ní Bhriain, Aisling Agnew, Etain McCooey, Aidan Dunphy, and conductor Bjorn Bantock.

Application forms for this summer school are available to download from here.
