The Clare County Board has confirmed that Clare Senior Football Manager, Colm Collins and Senior Hurling Manager, Davy Fitzgerald have expressed their intention to fulfil their existing managerial terms and remain in charge of their respective sides for 2016.

In a statement issued this evening, the Clare County Board said it “welcomed and fully supported the commitments received from both managers and looked forward to their review of their respective 2015 campaigns as well as an outline of their plans for 2016.”

Michael McDonagh, Chairman of the Clare County Board said: “I am delighted that Colm and Davy are committed to remaining in their respective positions for 2016. While everyone associated with Clare GAA is disappointed with the progress of both teams during 2015, we firmly believe that they are better things in store, and both Colm and Davy are the right people to lead their teams forward.”

Clare were knocked out of both Championships in the Qualifier stages during the past fortnight.
