Held in Gwangju, South Korea, Shannon swimmer Bryan struggled with the humid and warm conditions. Chris had to settle for what he described “a tough eleventh” place. He completed the 10km swim in a time of 01:57:41, which was two and a half minutes off the overall winner, Anton Evsikov of Russia. He was edged out by New Zealander Leonard Phillip Ryan for a finish in the top half of competitors.
Next up for the twenty five year old is the upcoming World Championships which take place in Kazan, Russia on July 27th. This will be the first of two opportunities Chris Bryan will have of qualifying for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
