Thousands of people gathered on the banks of the Shannon Estuary today for the second annual Foynes Air Show.
The event, which was hosted by the Foynes Flying Boat and Maritime Museum, was dedicated to the memory of Howard Cox who was tragically killed in a light aircraft crash on Saturday evening. The Devon pilot was due to take part in today’s event.
Authentic World War Two airplanes, Aer Lingus’ first airplane and one the largest search and rescue (SAR) training exercises ever undertaken in Ireland were among the highlights of the Show.
