Killaloe’s Keith Wood and Shannon’s Brian Lohan have joined Seanie McMahon as inductees to the University of Limerick Sports Hall of Fame.

The Clare pair are among 7 athletes to be added to the Hall of Fame. The pother inductees include Ruth Algar (Athletics), Fiona Coughlan (Rugby), Sean McGrath (Paralympian), Liam O’Brien (Athletics) and Fiona O’Driscoll (Camogie/Gaelic Football).

In recognition of UL’s unique contribution to sport regionally, nationally and internationally the University launched its Sports Hall of Fame in 2013 as part of the UL40 celebrations.  The Hall of Fame serves as a permanent tribute to and recognition of the many outstanding sporting achievements of past and present members of the Campus Community for excellence in achievement and/or service to sport.  7 individuals will be honoured this year.

Earlier this year, former Clare hurler Sean McMahon was inducted.
