fyffesA work by an 11-year old Clare student has been shortlisted for final judging in the Fyffes primary school design competition.

From hundreds of entries received nationwide, a work by Julie Heslin, a pupil at Kilmurry McMahon National School is one of the top ten entries to go forward for final judging.

The competition invited budding young architects to submit ideas that would provide useful extra school space.

The overall winner will be announced shortly and the winning work will be brought to life through a remodelled shipping container, fitted out to the winning student’s design and installed at his or her school.
