inagh cheeseClare-based Inagh Farmhouse Cheese Ltd is celebrating after winning a top award at the internationally acclaimed Great Taste Awards.

Described as the Oscars of the food industry and the ‘epicurean equivalent of the Booker prize’, Great Taste is the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink.

Inagh Farmhouse Cheese Ltd’s St. Tola Divine 120G product beat off competition from throughout Ireland and Britain to claim a Gold Award.

The company is managed by Director Siobhan Ní Ghairbhith, a former school teacher turned cheese maker.  She took over St Tola after the original owners were selling up in 1999. Siobhan is the former Chairperson of CAIS, a member of Slow Food Ireland and a member of the Taste Council.
