glór has announced the appointment of Liz Kelly as an interim Director.
Liz is well known to Clare audiences as the Director of The Ennis Book Club Festival in 2015 and again in 2016, as producer of The Killaloe Chamber Music Festival and nationally, in her role as Director of Bealtaine, the Age and Opportunity, annual national festival which celebrates creativity in older age.
With an impressive CV, Liz is an experienced arts manager with a wide-ranging knowledge of arts policy and practice, and has worked to deliver arts projects with a wide range of artists, arts organisations and local authorities.
She has worked as CEO with The Association of Irish Choirs, as the Director of The Belltable in Limerick and as a Programme Manager with The Arts Council. She has also taught at University of Limerick and Shannon College of Hotel Management.
“I am delighted to be taking up this position at the start of a jam packed season of music, theatre, visual arts and community events. With so much on offer, I look forward to meeting our audiences here at glór and to ensuring that we continue to create and deliver a wonderful programme for all to enjoy,” stated Ms. Kelly.
