Progress made as Bridge Utd redevelopment continues

The redevelopment continues at the grounds of Bridge Utd while at present the club is putting preparations in place with the new season fast approaching.

Great progress has been made on the pitch redevelopment and drainage works over the past few weeks. The club would like to thank all those who have offered their time voluntarily to assist with preparation works during this period.

A new Development Draw has been launched by the club with €750 given away at the latest draw. Martin O’Connell, Barbara Mulready, Moloney Fox Consulting, Noreen Moroney and Kieran Quinlan scooped the cash prizes. The club was represented by five U13 players at the recent Macron Cup Final. Conor Maxwell, Adam Fitzpatrick, Ben McSherry, Scott Kirkland and Leon Kelly  all featured for their County in the competition.  Conor and Scott played in the Bowl final but were narrowly beaten 1-0 by a strong Athlone outfit. Adam, Leon and Ben were part of the Elite Squad who beat Northern Ireland 2-0.

Under 6 Kickers training continues this Saturday at 11am with the Under 8 Sessions commencing at 12 noon.

Under 16 player and A team panellist Christy Carey has made the move to Mervue United where he will play in the recently launched U17 league of Ireland format.  Christy is expected to be joined in this league by ex-Bridge United Schoolboys Brandon O’Halloran and Cory McManus who will line out for Limerick FC having spent the last season as part of their Under 15/16 squads .
