St Breckans booked their place in the semi-finals of the Clare Senior Football Championship with a five point win over Kilrush Shamrocks.

Kilrush Shamrocks 1-07
Venue: Miltown

It represents a massive turnaround for the North Clare men who competed in the relegation semi-finals twelve months ago and now find themselves as one of the final four teams in the race for Jack Daly.

The Neil Hawes trained outfit got off to the perfect start when Conor Cormican hit the back of the net inside the opening twenty minutes. Both sides had plenty of goal chances in the first half but were unable to finish them off to leave the scoreline reading 1-04 to 0-05 in favour of Breckans at the break.

Substitute Davy Downes cut the gap to the minimum with fifty minutes on the clock. The Shams were back on level terms with fifty three minutes on the clock. County Minor, Alan Sweeney got the all-important goal to secure a semi-final clash with St Josephs Miltown.
