The purpose of the event will be to bring local business together and offer free business support on topics that apply to decision makers across all sectors. The event will commence at 8.45am and finish at 11.00am.

The session will advise employers on the important HR issues and employment law changes that they need to know. The briefing will also explain what procedures you need in place to ensure your business stays legally compliant. The event will cover the most important aspects of employment law, including changing contracts of employment, managing redundancy, dealing with a tribunal claim and protecting your business from employment litigation.

The event will be presented by one of Peninsula’s senior legislation specialists who will go through each topic in a manner which is easy to understand and which offers easy to follow advice. Local Business Development Manager for Peninsula, Terence Morgan, will also be in attendance on the morning to answer any questions business owners may have. The event is open to business owners, proprietors and senior decision makers only.

Alan Price, managing director of Peninsula Ireland, said “Employment law is a complicated topic which can often lead to confusion and uncertainty for employers and managers. It is important that they gain a solid understanding of the latest legislation in order to ensure their business meets the relevant legal requirements and they avoid unnecessary and costly potential tribunal claims.”

“The time and effort needed to ensure that your business complies and follows the most recent rules and regulations can be huge. The seminar will detail ways in which to proceed as a business to avoid prosecution and to guarantee your firm is legally compliant. Our event will show you how to easily comply with employment legislation whilst allowing you to do what you do best – run your business.”

Mr Price concludes, “We understand that with watertight policies in place, companies can then prioritise running their company and apply all their effort to making it a success. The seminar will provide useful information on the relevant policies to implement and how to do so in order to get them properly established.”
