Clarecastle athlete Kevin Mulcaire has been named Junior Irish Athlete of the Year at the GloHealth National Athletics Awards.
Kevin Muclaire of Ennis Track AC was presented with his award at a ceremony in Dublin on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old made headlines in Manchester in May when he broke a 40 year old Irish junior record in the 5,000m, shaving 2 seconds off John Treacy’s time in the distance.
