Cathaoirleach donates Christmas Card allowance to local charities

The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council has donated his Mayoral Christmas Card allowance to three local organisations and charities.

Councillor James Breen today presented a cheque of €500 to Truckrun4Katie and €250 each to representatives of Clare Haven and St. Vincent de Paul.

“I am delighted to contribute my Christmas Card allowance to the respective fundraising efforts of these organisations who for very different but important reasons rely on such donations,” stated the Cathaoirleach.

Cllr. Breen also made a donation from his allowance towards the recently held Ennis Old Folks Club Christmas dinner.
