Clare man reported missing in Galway City

An Garda Síochána have launched a public appeal for information of the whereabouts of a missing Clare man.

Twenty year old Michael Bugler originally from Ennis but now residing in Galway City has not been seen since Friday 18th December at approximately 01:00 in the Quay Street area.

When last seen Michael was wearing a grey coloured jumper and jeans. He is described as being 5’9″ in height, of thin build with short brown hair and blue eyes. According to family, he was last spotted with an unknown male of stocky build.

Michael is a third year law student at NUIG. His family and friends started a door by door search in Galway this morning starting at t Gort na Coirbe student estate.

Laura Bugler a sister of Michael’s took to social media looking for individuals to volunteer with the search. “If anyone is around Galway today we are having a search and rescue to try and find my brother Michael Bugler who has been missing since Thursday night starting at Gort na Coirbe student village ASAP Any help would be greatly appreciated, our hearts are breaking”.

Gardaí are concerned for his welfare and are asking anyone with information to contact them at Galway Garda Station on 091 538000, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.

Family have once more appealed for volunteers to assist them as they continue their search. On Monday morning a bus will be leaving Oranmore AstroTurf at 09:00 so volunteers can avoid driving into the city. Alternatively those available to help are asked to meet at Mill St Garda Station at 10:00.
