The 2015 Rose of Tralee will make a courtesy visit to County Clare next Thursday (4th February 2016) during a nationwide promotion of the international festival, which is celebrated among Irish communities all over the world.
22-year-old Elysha Brennan from Bettystown, Co Meath, who is a student at the Royal College of Surgeons and who is a cancer survivor, made headlines last August when she was crowned overall winner.
She will be welcomed to the De Valera Library in Ennis by Cllr James Breen, Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council and Cllr Pat Daly, Mayor of Municipal District of Ennis.
Ms. Brennan and 2015 Clare Rose Ava Mahony will then host a meet and greet session from 4.00pm to 5.30pm with members of the public to answer any queries from potential Roses considering following in their footsteps.
The 2016 Rose of Tralee International Festival takes place from 17th to 26th August. More from www.roseoftralee.ie.
