Following a week of relatively calm and settled conditions our weather is set to turn much windier once again.
Met Éireann has issued an Orange wind warning for County Clare for Tuesday night.
It says westerly winds will veer northwest and will increase to means of 65 to 75km/h with gusts of 110 to 130km/h at times overnight in exposed areas especially coastal fringes.
Meanwhile, a snow-ice Warning has been issued for Connacht, Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal. Heavy snow showers are expected overnight leading to accumulations of 3cm in parts of Connacht, Ulster and Leinster, with larger accumulations likely on higher ground. Showers are expected to be mostly of rain, hail and sleet in County Clare.
Clare County Council is warning members of the public in County Clare to avoid exposed coastal locations throughout Tuesday night and early on Wednesday.
