Ciara Cassidy from Ennis last week posted the below video on her Facebook page and it has since been viewed 15,000 times.
In the video, Ciara explains why she decided to organise a fundraiser for St Annes School in Ennis. Her brother Darragh attends one of the Autism classes in St Annes. The video firstly shows Ciara in conversation with Darragh and also shows Darragh’s progression through the years.
Darragh’s communication skills have improved enormously thanks to the staff at St Annes School in Ennis who are assisted greatly by the therapists of the Clare Crusaders. The Clare Crusaders therapists visit St Annes school on a weekly basis where they advise the teachers and assist with therapy programs for the children.
Transition year students in Rice College are taking part in a “Swimathon”, the aim is to swim 42,195m – the distance of a marathon among 57 students from Rice College and students from St. Anne’s Special School. This event will take place Monday 7th of March. Donate here.
