The Clare and Waterford teams to square off in Sunday’s Allianz National Hurling League Division 1 Final have been named.

The Banner take on the Deise at 3.30pm in Semple Stadium, Thurles.

Davy Fitzgerald is without the services of David McInerney (back), John Conlon (ankle), Conor Ryan (calf) and Paul Flanagan (concussion) due to injury but welcomes back 2013 Hurler of the Year Tony Kelly back into his starting 15.

Peter Duggan of Clooney-Quin is the only other change to the Clare team which defeated Kilkenny in the semi-final two weeks ago. Duggan replaces the injured John Conlon.

Shane O’Donnell will undergo a late fitness test this evening but Colin Ryan, Jack Browne, Shane Golden, Cathal O’Connell, Aaron Shanagher, Bobby Duggan and Seadna Morey are expected to be named among the substitutes.

Meanwhile, Derek McGrath has named the same starting 15 that saw off Limerick in Waterford’s league semi-final fixture. Maurice Shanahan is likely to be named on the bench following his recovery from hip and hamstring strains.

The game will be broadcast live on TG4, RTE Radio 1 and Clare FM.
