The Clare Senior Hurling Management team are facing a selection headache after a number of players were confirmed ruled out of this weekend’s Allianz National Hurling League semi-final with Kilkenny.

Shane O’Donnell and David McInerney will not figure for Clare on Sunday following medical examinations of their respective back and foot injuries.

Peter Duggan, who is recovering from a back problem, also failed a fitness and will not figure ,while Conor Ryan is said to be extremely doubtful due to a calf strain. The Cratloe man is due to undergo a late fitness test on Saturday.  Defender Jack Browne remains out of action due to injury.

A number of players are returning to the setup however, including Tony Kelly, Seadna Morey and Shane Golden.

Clare versus Kilkenny throws in at 4.00pm in Semple Stadium, Thurles, this Sunday as part of a double header that sees Limerick take on reigning league champions Waterford in the other semi-final at 2.00pm.
