Caoimhe O’Donnell – New HR & Training Director at Atlantic Aviation Group

Atlantic Aviation Group this week announced the appointment of Caoimhe O’Donnell as Director of HR & Training at its facility at Shannon Airport.

Caoimhe joins the company having previously held the position of Cluster Development Manager at International Aviation Services Centre (IASC) in Shannon, where she assisted companies in the Shannon region to position the area as a globally-recognised Centre of Excellence for Aviation and Aerospace Services. Prior to this, Caoimhe worked as Project and Network Manager for the Irish Centre for Business Excellence (ICBE), where she developed and managed a number of enterprise- led education and training national projects for SME’s and multinationals.

Joining Atlantic Aviation Group, Caoimhe will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s people strategy and for expanding their Aviation Training School in Shannon.

Announcing the appointment, CEO Connor Flanagan commented “Caoimhe comes with a wealth of expertise in both HR and Training and we are delighted to welcome her to the team. As we continue to grow the business, we have identified our people as a key strategic pillar and this new role has been developed to ensure that employee engagement and development is at the heart of our business strategy.”

Caoimhe O’Donnell added “I’m very excited to join the team at Atlantic Aviation Group. The company has very ambitious plans for the future and I look forward to helping to build and develop the people and the skills needed to support this.”

Speaking about the company’s plans to expand its Aviation Training School, she commented “This is something that’s very near to my heart. Shannon has so much to offer from an aviation perspective and I believe that with Atlantic Aviation’s commitment and the collaboration of other key partners, there is a huge opportunity to make Shannon and Ireland the global centre for excellence in Aviation and Aerospace training”.

Atlantic Aviation’s current training school is EASA Part 147 approved and offers both practical technical training and theory courses to individuals, airlines, leasing companies, and other MRO’s. For information on upcoming training courses, visit www.atlanticaviation.ie.
