Ennis Chamber holds charity Golf Classic

golf-ball-549228_1920Next Friday’s Ennis Chamber Golf Classic sponsored by Western Garages is aimed at raising funds for Cahercalla Hospice through a Prize Draw provided by Trump International Golf Resort, Doonbeg.

Tickets for the prize which includes dinner and overnight accommodation with breakfast for 2 people are available from Cahercalla Fundraising Office at Cahercalla Hospital and Ennis Chamber, 54 O’Connell Street at €5 or 3 for €10. Thee Draw will take place at the prize giving ceremony of the Annual Golf Classic on the evening of Friday, the 13th of May in Ennis Golf Club.

The Hospice is located in the Garden Wing at Cahercalla Community Hospital and delivers patient care in a purpose built 10 Bed Unit to terminally ill patients free of charge. The cost per annum for one hospice bed exceeds €70,000 and in addition to a grant from the H.S.E., various fundraising activities must be undertaken to keep the service open.

Teams of 4 golfers are invited to play in the Ennis Chamber Golf Classic sponsored by Western Garages Volkswagen Clare for €200 which includes a 2-course meal. A host of team and individual prizes to the value of €2,500 will be up for grabs on Friday the 13th at Ennis Golf Club. Businesses can also sponsor a tee for €75. 1st prize for golfers is a stay for 2 for each of the winning team members in Treacy’s Hotel, Enniscorthy and 4-Ball Green Fees at Clare’s prestigious Lahinch Castle Course and Dromoland Castle as well as vouchers for the Old Ground Hotel and The Inn at Dromoland. There will be a comprehensive viewing of the latest models from Volkswagen courtesy of Western Garages on the day.
