Gardaí in Ennis are appealing for witnesses or information after a woman was robbed by a man wielding a broken bottle.
The incident happened in the early hours of Monday morning in the Woodquay area of Ennis.
The woman was making her way home at around at 1.50am when she was approached and threatened by a man who is understood to have had a broken bottle.
The man, who made off with the woman’s purse, is understood to have been seen earlier in the Abbey Street and O’Connell Street areas.
The suspect has been described as tall and thin with fair hair, wearing a long grey jacket and a scarf over his face.
It’s understood the woman was left shaken but otherwise unharmed.
