Ms Bannerton leads up a team of Events Specialists, organising and promoting large-scale consumer events and exhibitions. Some of the most successful events Avril has staged include the award-winning Taste of Dublin; the Taste of Christmas show in Dublin’s Convention Centre; the Top Gear Festival, based on the hugely popular BBC TV show and motor racing track; and the unique fashion and styling show with Trinny and Susannah, Style in the City.

She will give pointers on creating an irresistible pitch and attracting the right level of targeted attention. During the presentation she will also discuss the art of networking and how to build brand awareness and brand engagementbefore and after the event.

“This event is ideal for women in business who are planning to exhibit, or who are currently exhibiting at fairs, exhibitions or trade shows,” said Padraic McElwee, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Clare.

He added “This will be the perfect opportunity to gather all of the essential information and learn about the different approaches in preparing for marketing events. Although it is the only the first week of September this event is ideal for crafters, food producers, retailers and general businesses who will be gearing up for Christmas markets in the not so distant future!”

According to Mr. McElwee, “The Women in Business Event is organized by Local Enterprise Office Clare and it brings together formal and informal networking for women already in business and for those planning to join the business world in the near future. It promises to be a fun and informative evening with opportunities to promote your business and make new contacts.”
