Beckman Coulter is to increase its workforce in County Clare.
An additional one hundred and five jobs are to created at the company’s plant in O’Callaghans Mills. The news was revealed as Beckman Coulter had lodged plans with Clare County Council to enhance their facilities.
Over 10,000 people are employed across the globe by the company that specialises in making biomedical laboratory instruments. Previously there were two Beckman Coulter facilities in the country but the Galway outlet was closed in 2014 which resulted in a greater focus on the Clare plant as some staff were relocated.
No details have yet been provided on when these jobs will become available or what area of the company they will be in. A decision on Beckman Coulter’s request to extend their facilities is expected in the coming months.
