A Christmas Gift Wrapping Appeal held by the Kilkenny shop in Ennis and Galway has raised an impressive €8,500 for the Simon Community.
Customers donated €4,250 which Kilkenny matched to bring the total to €8,500 and which will go to help improve the lives of those affected by homelessness in Ireland
Each of Kilkenny’s 15 stores nationwide supported a chosen charity this Christmas, including Pieta House, CARE Cancer Support and Kerry Mental Health, with over €58,000 being raised in total by the Group.
Commenting on the gift wrapping appeal, CEO Marian O’Gorman said: “Every year, Kilkenny Shop does its utmost to support local charities throughout the country. We are an Irish company that stocks primarily Irish, so it is important to us to support local, and we are delighted that so many of you supported this appeal”.
