“I was delighted yesterday when Mary Lou announced that I would be appointed to such an important committee”.

“I am very passionate on the topic of people with disabilities. I have experience and knowledge in this area since completing my degree in Psychology from Trinity College Dublin in 2009”.

“Over the years I have gained experience working with the home help services and I fully understand the frustrations that parents with children with special needs face, as my third born Travis was diagnosed in 2017 with Autism”.

“I would hope that this experience will stand to me when dealing with the issues people bring forward to me”.

“I will be working alongside my party colleague Deputy Pauline Tully to ensure that the concerns of people living with disabilities right across this country are highlighted at the highest level.

“I have been raising the difficulties being faced by people with disabilities since my election to the Dáil on any occasion possible, and this is something I will continue to do in both the chamber and on the committee,” she said.

“I look forward to working with interest groups right across the country and in particular in County Clare.

I would like to invite any groups working with people with disabilities to reach out on any matters they would like to discuss, they can email me on violet-anne.wynne@oir.ie”.
