The Irish Aviation Authority Air Navigation Services Provider, (IAA ANSP), is setting out to become Ireland’s first commercial State body to be 100% sustainable and fully carbon-neutral by 2025.
The Mid-West Chambers – Ennis, Galway and Shannon – and the Irish Hotels Federation have welcomed the announcement that the Aer Lingus livery will return to the runways at Shannon Airport with the resumption of its London Heathrow daily service to the airport.
Aer Lingus will resume services between Shannon and London Heathrow from September 13th but just for a 10-week period and without the popular early morning flight.
A transatlantic flight has diverted to Shannon Airport this afternoon after they crew reported they had a passenger on board who required medical attention.
An executive jet carried out a low-level fly past over the runway at Shannon Airport this afternoon so ground crews could check whether there was an issue with the aircraft’s landing gear.
