The Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat was launched earlier this evening to assist 4 adults on a 30ft cruiser that had run aground at Skehanagh, on eastern, Tipperary shore of Lough Derg behind Illaunmor.
Members of the Clare Divisional Garda Roads Policing Unit carried out a major operation today utilising the ‘Automatic Number Plate Recognition’ (ANPR) function of the new Garda Mobility App.
The Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat was launched earlier this evening to assist four people on a 36ft cruiser which was reported to have run aground on the south-eastern shore the lake.
The volunteer Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat crew was called to assist three people after their boat lost engine power and was left drifting at the north-eastern end of the lake.
The Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat was called on to assist two people on a 27ft cruiser reported to have suffered mechanical issues engine failure off Mountshannon Harbour in Co Clare.
