Members of the public have been urged to heed the advice of the Coast Guard as Met Eireann has issued an orange wind warning for Coasts of Mayo, Galway, Clare, Kerry, Cork, Waterford and Wexford.
Clare’s principal emergency response agencies are advising schools to close and members of the public and services providers to avoid any non-urgent travel during Monday due to the Red Alert weather warning in place.
Clare County Council is advising members of the public to exercise caution later this weekend as a result of a Status Yellow Weather Warning issued by Met Éireann this evening.
