Loop Head Lighthouse Visitor Experience swung open its doors to visitors today for the first time since 2019 and following a significant upgrade of the historic and popular West Clare visitor attraction.
An agreement has been signed between the Commissioner of Irish Lights and Clare County Council to lease the property at the Loophead Lighthouse premises for a further term of 25 years.
Loop Head Lighthouse has recorded an increase in visitor numbers for a sixth successive year with latest figures for 2017 showing that 14,227 visiting the County Clare attraction between March and September.
