A team of four students representing the Galway International Hotel School at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) has been selected as the outright winners of the 37th Irish Hospitality Institute (IHI) National Hospitality Business Management Game 2022.
BlueWise Marine and Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) have formed a strategic partnership to collaborate on projects that support the development of innovative scientific solutions for the marine and Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) sectors, utilising national infrastructures and capabilities to support innovation and the commercialisation of novel products and services.
GMIT has appointed Dr Eoin Cullina to the new post of Head of Research at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT), having previously worked in the GMIT Department of Enterprise and Technology, School of Business, as a lecturer and researcher.
The President of GMIT, Dr Orla Flynn, welcomed the French Ambassador to Ireland, HE Vincent Guérend, to GMIT along with delegates from the French Embassy.
GMIT will operate a phased return to full on-site activities in all campuses from 20 September (2021) in line with the Safe Return Plan published by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation & Science (DFHERIS) in June and the Cabinet-approved national plan “Reframing the Challenge, Continuing Our Recovery and Reconnecting”.
A new initiative has been launched which aims to source, share and celebrate stories of farmers across Ireland who are considered to be managing their land and livestock in a way that benefits nature.
