The Department of Public Health Mid-West is advising members of the public to improve handwashing in and around farm settings (wash your hands with hot water and soap), and to test and treat their well water, in order to reduce the risk of infection of Cryptosporidium.

Clare Independent TD Michael McNamara has received confirmation from the HSE that a new Chronic Disease Management Hub delivering services to patients with cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease and Type II Diabetes is being rolled out in County Clare.

Walk-on Covid-19 clinics have now been extended to the 5-11 age group, and will be offered alongside scheduled clinics at the three Mid-West Vaccination Centres all this weekend, from Friday March 4 to Sunday March 6 and going forward.

The Department of Public Health Mid-West, the UL Hospitals Group, and HSE Mid West Community Healthcare is encouraging people who are immunocompromised, or those with weak immune systems, to avail of their additional COVID-19 vaccine dose in order to be fully-vaccinated.
