A man who collapsed in West Clare on Monday evening was left waiting for an ambulance for over an hour and almost two hours before he was transported to hospital.
A major multi-agency emergency operation, also involving an RNLI lifeboat, was put in place in Co Clare this morning for a cargo aircraft which declared a Mayday over the Atlantic.
