The Minister for Defence, Mr Simon Coveney, TD, and Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces Lieutenant General Seán Clancy attended the Commissioning Ceremony of the 5th Army Reserve Potential Officers Course, consisting of 29 new Army Officers in the Defence Forces Training Centre in Kildare. 

Lieutenant General Seán Clancy has taken up his role as the Defence Forces Chief of Staff with effect from today.
