euroThe Department of Health has allocated €25,000 to Clare Crusaders and 20,000 to the Clare Branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association.

Clare Fine Gael Senator, Tony Mulcahy, whose own daughter has benefited from Clare Crusader services, said the money will be used to provide summer respite camps.

“This is fantastic news for Clare Crusaders. Disability services for under 23s throughout Clare would be in serious trouble if it wasn’t for the efforts of everyone involved with Clare Crusaders. The organisation depends on fund allocations and fundraising to continue to deliver services and critical support to many hundreds of individuals and families throughout Clare,” he said.

Senator Mulcahy also confirmed that 20,000 euro is being allocated to the Clare Branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association towards the purchase of a wheelchair accessible bus.
